Liverpool Revive Interest For Superstar Dortmund Defender

We thought this lead had gone cold! But now, the Sun has reported that Liverpool are set to renew their pursuit of Neven Subotic in the summer.

The Reds were reported to be interested in the player earlier last season however the speculations seemed to have stopped. Now the Sun report says that the agent of the player is scouring Europe for a suitable club and knowing that, Liverpool have revived their interest in Subotic.

The player is apparently frustrated under Thomas Tuchel with lack of first team football and is actively looking for a move out of Westfalenstadion. He has played under Jurgen Klopp while the German was at Borussia Dortmund and will be happy to reunite with his ex-manager. Liverpool are also looking for defensive reinforcement especially at the left as Alberto Moreno’s future is in doubt at Anfield. The player has been inconsistent throughout the season and while he is not expected to leave immediately Klopp wants to give him some competition.
