Jurgen Klopp has been a busy man since the end of the previous season as he is desperate to improve the quality in the squad at Anfield, for the challenges in the Champions League next season. He has already added Mohamed Salah to his attack and reports claim that he is also looking to add another attacker, Maximiliano Romero.
According to a story run by the WFI, Liverpool are interested in the signature of the young attacker as Klopp looks to improve the depth in the squad for the new season. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the 18-year old started his youth career with Vélez Sarsfield, where he grew through the ranks to establish himself in the first team not too long ago.
Romero was pushed to the first team at Sarsfield in 2015 and ever since, he has scored 3 goals in 16 appearances for the club, most of which came off the bench. Capable of playing as a support striker and also as a winger, Romero is a versatile attacker who is destined for great things in the future.

The Reds have already spent on one such player in Dominic Solanke but Romero is more of a player who can suit Liverpool’s style of play under Jurgen Klopp. At his age, he is not expected to play a role in the first team but he is capable of making it to the Liverpool senior team.
At 18, he needs enough exposure at the highest level and Liverpool cannot promise as much yet. However, they will be foolish to miss out on an opportunity to tie him to the club and they might be best served by signing him and loaning him back to an Argentine top flight outfit next season.
