Markovic, who joined Liverpool from Benfica last season for about 20 million could not hold down a place at Anfield. Now, he will find it even more difficult with the arrival of Firmino. Even Jordon Ibe, who impressed during the pre-season, is preferred over him.

Markovic will be hoping to impress at Fenerbahce and claim back a spot at Anfield. He will be joining former Manchester United players, Luis Nani and Robin Van Persie, and former Liverpool midfielder Raul Meireles. Milos Krasic is another Serbian in the Fenerbahce side.

. He will become the fourth of the nine players who joined Liverpool last summer to make a move in this transfer window, after Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Javier Manquillo. Here is a compilation of Markovic at Liverpool
