Liverpool FC All-Time XI

Choosing an All-Time team from many legends who played and who are playing for a club is a challenge with the hardest tasks like choosing 2 strikers from many great legends but after discussing for hours with our Editorial Team , we have chosen Liverpool’s All Time XI

 

Liverpool – All time 11

Pepe Reina (GK) – He is the current goalkeeper of the team and playing his role strikingly, the 30 year goalkeeper, Reina is not privileged enough to play for his national side as Iker casillas is the first choice of Spain National Team but he is the most fruitful l goal keeper in England that’s why he is here in this list .

Steve Nicol (LB) – He was a versatile player and could play on both the planks and sometimes central midfield as well. He was the reason Phil Neal left the club, In fact,  he was fondly known as “Chopsy” by his teammates.

He has a hat-trick to his name, a rare feat for a full back. He left Liverpool after fourteen years, in 1995.

Steve Nicol

 

Phil Neal (RB) – He played 445 games for the club and scored 60 goals, and won 8 league titles, 5 Charity Shields, 4 League Cups, 4 European Cups, a UEFA Cup and a European Super Cup. He is the only LFC player who appeared in all 5 European finals.in the early stage of his career he was one of the most ecstatic players in the club

Phil Neal

Alan Hansen (CB) – Hansen played a part in one of the best defenses ever assembled in eight League titles, three European Cups, three League Cups, two F.A Cups and six Charity Shields. He also captained Liverpool to the “double” in 1986, making them only the third club to achieve the feat. He eventually retired in 1991, after Kenny Dalglish’s resignation, to end a fabulous fourteen year spell with the club which was littered with silverware.

 

Alan Hansen

Jamie Carragher (CB) – He has been playing as a Liverpool player for twelve year. He was born and bred in Merseyside, but he still plays for Liverpool since making the first team in 1996. He played 679 games for the club. Liverpool won the Champions League, mainly due to some superb defensive performances. He’s maintained that level of consistency then on, and still remains to be arguably the first name on the team sheet for Liverpool.

 

Billy lidell (RM) – William Beveridge “Billy” Liddell was a Scottish footballer, who played his entire professional career with Liverpool. He signed with the club as a teenager in 1938 and retired in 1961, having scored 228 goals in 534 appearances

 

Steven Gerrard (CM) – He is the current captain of Liverpool FC. he has played most of his career in centre midfield . He has spent his entire career in Anfield and made his debut in 1998. He is the key player for the team, the one who can supply, who can score. He is famous for his long range goals and free kicks. he made nearly 600 appearances for Liverpool

 

Captain fantastic – Gerrard

John Barnes (LM) – He was a brilliant wide player and played his career in Liverpool as a all-rounder. He scored goals, created goals and his left foot was like a stick. He was a creative player and master of through ball and crosses

 

Graeme souness (CM) – He was master of passes in the middle of the park and terrified opposition player especially at Anfield . He was captain of team in early 1980’s

 

Kenny Daglish (RS) – Legend, genius, King. Still regarded as Liverpool’s greatest ever player, the mercurial Scot had the touch, vision and technique that only the true all-time greats of the game possess. Signed by, who else but, Bob Paisley in 1977 from Celtic for a then club record fee.He capped his first season off by scoring the winning goal in the 1978 European Cup final at Wembley, one of many important goals for the club that also included the winner at Stamford Bridge in 1986, his first season as Player-Manager, that made Liverpool League champions that season.He had an amazing strength on the ball and his partnership with Ian Rush was almost telepathic at times.

King Kenny

Ian Rush (LS) – He made is club debut in 1980 and was the most popular and successful striker of his time , he scored many goals in Anfield that’s why he is the perfect choice to be selected in Liverpool all time XI  . he was among the top striker in Europe in 1980’s and 1990’s .
