Liverpool Deny Reports of Bringing Former Real Madrid man to Anfield

It has now been confirmed by Liverpool that they have not held any talks at all with Italian boss Carlo Ancelotti about replacing their current manager Brendan Rodgers. The Reds have not been able to win a single game in their last five and Rodgers is now losing support from the Anfield faithful. There is a clear need for change.

Further, it has now been stated by a leading newspaper that owners Fenway Sports Group are already in talks for potential replacements for the former Swansea manager. Ancelotti, who has managed top European clubs like AC Milan, Chelsea and Real Madrid has not been working since leaving the Bernabeu at the end of the previous campaign and was being linked with Liverpool, after he spoke of his admiration for them.

However, sources close to the club have dismissed all such speculations, with senior FSG figures still having full full faith in Rodgers’ ability to turn things around. The manager has already spent around £80m on new signings and might be further given time to mould his squad.
