Premier League giants Liverpool and Tottenham are in a race to sign Croatian wonder-kid Ante Coric from Dinamo Zagreb. The playmaker is reportedly wanted by both clubs as either look to battle it out for the 19-year-old’s signature.
The Croatian sensation is on the verge of being offloaded by his current club Dinamo Zagreb and Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in securing the youngster’s services. At 19, the teenager has already been capped twice for his national side.
Having being considered as one of Europe’s top talents and gifted youngster’s, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City wanted to lure Ante Coric to the Etihad but he snubbed the offer after reports claimed the City boss was planning to loan him away for a season, according to the Squawka.
Coric has made 41 appearances last term scoring five goals and assisting six which made an impression to the big clubs and has caught the attention of the two Premier League title contenders. A fee of around £15 million could be agreed upon by the Croatian outfit as a tug of war would be unsurprising to witness in January given the competitiveness of the Premier league.
Coric has scored 15 goals and provided 19 assists in 102 matches for his club. Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino will both be looking to strengthen their squad’s midfield respectively with the addition of a quality playmaker and Ante Coric seems to be one of their prime targets.
Liverpool are currently 2nd in the league with 27 points after 12 games while the London club are in 5th position with 24 points on the board.
Everton are also interested in landing Coric and believe their best chances are in offering him more playing time than their two rivals.
