Liverpool had to face a defeat at the hands of their old rivals, Manchester United, last week, even though they dominated for the majority of the match. They will look to get their top four push back on track when they take on Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon. The Reds faced Exeter in the mid-week replay of FA Cup third round fixture. The young guns stepped up in the absence of many senior stars and secured a 3-0 win. Klopp will be expected to keep faith in the team which lost to United last week, which would mean Benteke might have to settle for a place on the bench.

Goalkeeper: Simon Mignolet

Mignolet was one of the few senior players who started for Liverpool against Exeter on Wednesday. The Belgian had a very quite game, with hardly a save to make and is expected to maintain his place between the sticks, even though he has come under a lot of criticism from the fans of late. With Norwich not scoring too many goals recently Mignolet will be hopeful of keeping a Premier League clean sheet for the first time in four games.

Defenders: Nathaniel Clyne, Kolo Toure, Mamadou Sakho and Alberto Moreno

Klopp is set to make numerous changes to his line-up and recall Nathaniel Clyne, Alberto Moreno and Mamadou Sakho after resting for them against Exeter. The centre back pairing of Toure and Sakho will be expected to continue in the absence of Martin Skrtel and Dejan Lovren. The duo were pretty impressive against Manchester United except for the corner that lead to Wayne Rooney’s winner. Both Clyne and Moreno did well against United on the wings on Sunday and remain clubs first choice full backs. Jon Flanagan returned from a 18-month injury lay-off against Exeter in the FA Cup in mid-week but he isn’t expected to be risked.

Midfielders: James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Emre Can, Adam Lallana and Jordon Ibe.

The trio of Can, Henderson and Milner has looked good in Liverpool’s midfield. Can had a solid match last weekend and Jordan Henderson remains a kep component in the centre of Liverpool’s midfield. Milner’s form has been on the up recently. Former Man City midfielder never stops running and his work rate gives the team an extra boost.

Lallana has struggled to produce much in front of the goal but remains Klopp’s favorite. His defensive contributions are key for Liverpool. Ibe was subbed off in the second half against Exeter which hints that he will have a part to play on Saturday. Ibe was going through a rough patch recently before he got himself on the assist sheet against Exeter.

Striker: Roberto Firmino

Roberto Firmino is likely to start up front. Christian Benteke simply hasn’t adjusted to the type of football Liverpool play. Firmino’s movement and interplay with other attackers is a key component of Liverpool’s attacking plans and with Daniel Sturridge still injured, we expect Firmino to continue as Liverpool’s striker and Benteke to come on a substitute.
