Klopp Should Stop Looking At German Youngsters And Try To Sign This 20-year Premier League Starlet – Worth The Gamble For Liverpool?

Why Liverpool Should Consider Signing Stoke City’s Ramadan Sobhi

It is that time of the year where transfer rumours are flying all around and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool seem to pop up ever so often. The Reds have a great chance of qualifying for Europe after thrashing West Ham United 4-0 and are getting themselves ready to spend big this summer. They have been linked to a number of star players recently but a slightly less high-profile star on their radar is Stoke City winger Ramadan Sobhi.

Sobhi has not been able to make a great impression at the Bet365 stadium this season and has just 2 assists in his 18 appearances for the club so far in this campaign.

At 20 years of age, Sobhi has 16 senior appearances for the national side already and is looking like a star for the future. And according to reports from the Bleacher Report, the Reds are looking at this exciting winger as a possible addition to their squad this summer.

Liverpool lack genuine wide players to back Sadio Mane up in the squad at the moment. Senegalese international Sadio Mane has been sensational this season for the Reds but they still need another player or two who can provide width in attack when needed.

Looking at the way the German deals with his transfers, it will take a lot more than just potential to get into his good books. Sobhi is an exciting star who has shown that he can thrive under pressure and is comfortable handling responsibilities.

A left-winger, who can play in a deeper role when required, the 20-year old is an excellent passer with decent dribbling abilities. He can beat his man with ease and is equally adept at passing his way through the toughest of defences. With decent skill on the ball, the biggest attraction of Sobhi is his work rate on the field.

He is a genuine workhorse and is ready to do the dirty work. He is a bundle of energy and is a player who will fit into Klopp’s style pretty well. He is not expected to walk into the first team next season but is definitely a player who can develop into a star in the future.

Liverpool fans would argue that they need more readymade talent going into a season with European fixtures of the highest order but Sobhi could be the backup that can help them get through tough times. He is still 20 and will grow into a top class player with all his potential and surely, he is a welcome addition at Anfield.
