Klavan And Wijnaldum To Start – Predicted 4-3-3 Liverpool Line-Up To Face Everton

Share

After an emphatic victory at the Riverside on Wednesday that pushed them back into the 2nd place, Liverpool will now face their arch nemesis Everton in a Monday night kickoff at the Goodison Park. Ronald Koeman’s men are also fresh from a morale-boosting victory over Arsenal in the midweek fixture and will be hoping to trouble the Reds in this game. The Reds have been superb this season but they have shown a few frailties that can be well exposed and Ronald Koeman is smart enough to target such weaknesses on the night. Both teams are set to go for all three points with their strongest sides and here is the predicted lineup that Klopp might field for this game:

Team News:

The Reds are still without the services of Danny Ings and Philippe Coutinho who are long-term absentees. Daniel Sturridge and Joel Matip are days away from resuming training and may not be risked for this game against Everton while Emre Can and Divock Origi also picked up knocks recently but are expected to be back in action for this game.

Formation: 4-3-3

Simon Mignolet:

Having put in a commanding performance at the back replacing Karius in the first team, Mignolet should keep his place in the side for this game.

Nathaniel Clyne:

One of the first names on the team-sheet this season for Liverpool, Clyne should start this game at the right-back position for Liverpool.

Dejan Lovren:

The former Southampton man was superb against Middlesbrough in the absence of Matip and he will hope to have a similar game this week against Everton.

Ragnar Klavan:

The first choice center back for Liverpool from the bench, Klavan was also impressive in the victory against Boro and should start this game.

James Milner:

The makeshift left-back for Liverpool has been one of the most effective players in the league in his position and he should start this game against Everton.

Jordan Henderson:

The English international has been one of the best players for the side this season and he should start this game, wearing the captain’s armband at Anfield.

Adam Lallana:

Arguably the most inform player in the side at the moment, Lallana picked up a brace in the previous round and should be ready for this derby.

Georginio Wijnaldum:

Impressing more the more he plays, the Dutch international is an integral part of the squad and he should start this game against Everton.

Sadio Mane:

The top scorer for Liverpool so far this season, Mane has been in superb form, and he should keep his place in the side for this game.

Roberto Firmino:

The Brazilian has been ineffective on the wing recently but he is an impact player who can make things happen and he should keep his place in the starting XI for this weekend.

Divock Origi:

With 5 goals in the last 5 games for the club, Origi, is now the first choice striker among all the injuries and the Reds will hope that he can continue his goal scoring form in this game against Everton.
