James Collins Back At Upton Park

Share

As expected there are lots of changes happening at both Aston Villa and West Ham before the start of the new season. The latest to join the list is James Collins who coincidentally has left Aston Villa to rejoin West Ham, the club he left three years back to play for Villa.

The £2.5 million deal was completed on Wednesday and would be Sam Allardyce’s seventh signing for the season.  The 28 year old Collins had only a year left on his contract and would be competing for first team places at Upton Park.

Meanwhile Aston Villa Chairman, Randy Lerner has given the go for their new manager Paul Lambert to sign up new players with the money generated from sale of existing squad members.  With Heskey and Cuellar having already left Villa after their contracts expired, there seems to be more departures waiting with players like Hutton and Warnock attracting interest from various premier league sides.

On the positive side there seems to be many new faces coming in for Villa including Ron Vlaar from Feyenoord who will be his third signing since taking over as manager last month.
