Predicted Liverpool line-up to face PSG in the Champions League

Liverpool continued their winning run by beating Watford as the Reds saw out a 3-0 win at the Vicarage Road. Jurgen Klopp’s side have maintained their spot in the top four and are consistently keeping the pressure up on Manchester City.

But the manager will now turn his attention to the mid-week clash against Paris Saint-Germain, a game which the Reds must win in order to assure qualification to the next round. Losing to the French champions will make it very difficult for the Merseyside club to qualify for the round of 16.

Team News

Only Adam Lallana will be unavailable for this game with Joe Gomez and Jordan Henderson set to be fit. The captain started the game against Watford but was sent off in the second half. Apart from that, only long-term absentee Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is the only one who for Liverpool.

Probable Liverpool XI

Manager: Jurgen Klopp

Formation: 4-3-3

Alisson Becker (GK)

Made a superb save against Watford and he needs to be at his best against Paris Saint-Germain.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB)

Alexander-Arnold is in a good run of form at the moment and should definitely keep his momentum as the French champions welcome Liverpool.

Virgil Van Dijk (CB)

His presence and defensive work will be absolutely vital in this game. He could be the one to ultimately make a difference.

Joe Gomez (CB)

Gomez was kept out as a precautionary measure against the Hornets and should return to partner Van Dijk at the back.

Andrew Robertson (LB)

Did well against PSG last time out and needs to keep himself on his toes against a fiery PSG attack.

James Milner (RCM)

Milner has received a good rest and should start in central midfield. He was excellent against PSG in the previous fixture.

James Milner

Georginio Wijnaldum (CM)

The Dutchman should return to a No.6 role for this game and needs to keep his concentration levels high.

Naby Keita (LCM)

Keita is now back from injury and should return to the line-up for this game. He will provide an added sense of energy in the midfield.

Mohamed Salah (LW)

Salah now looks like the player that broke records last season as he consistently finds the back of the net.

Roberto Firmino

Roberto Firmino (ST)

Firmino was the match-winner last time out and needs to pull on his scoring boots for this game. He scored against Watford and should be a little more confident.
