Everton picked up a 1-0 win against Cardiff City in the Premier League this past weekend as they continue their impressive form under Marco Silva. The Toffees are now placed 6th on the table and are very much in the hunt for a European spot this season.
But Marco Silva will immediately turn his attention to the big Merseyside clash during the weekend. Everton travel to take on Liverpool at Anfield, a ground they have failed to win in the last decade.
The Reds are currently flying high under Jurgen Klopp and are unbeaten in the league this season. Everton will definitely be facing their toughest test of the season yet.
Marco Silva will be glad to have Gylfi Sigurdsson back from injury after the Iceland international started and scored against Cardiff City. Apart from that, only James McCarthy and Jonjoe Kenny are out injured. Marco Silva can deploy his strongest side against the Reds.
Will have a busy day at work trying to keep Liverpool’s front three at bay.
Coleman will also have his work cut out for him given that he will be coming up against Sadio Mane down the left flank.
Keane has been brilliant at the back for Everton this season. He will definitely start this game.
Zouma should return to the line-up in place of Yerry Mina. He has looked a more able partner to Keane than everybody else.
Has looked very exciting going forward and has created a lot of chances. His deliveries will be important in this game.
Gomes has been vital in the middle of the park for Everton this season. He will definitely start this game.
Nobody has made more tackles than Gueye in the league this season and that is why he is so important to their team.
Has failed to maintain consistency but he has looked very dangerous on the counter.
Will be hoping to continue his fine run of form and score in a big game like this against Liverpool.
Bernard has found his feet in England and must now aim to maintain his momentum up front.
Richarlison will continue to lead the line after impressing in his new role over the last few weeks.
