Predicted Tottenham Line-up To Face Huddersfield Town In The Premier League

Tottenham managed to pick up a narrow victory away to West Ham United last weekend and also put on a solid performance in the Champions League group stage encounter over Maribor, making a decent start to the season. They are back in action this weekend as they travel to the Kirklees Stadium to face a stubborn Huddersfield Town side, who are fresh from a draw at the Turf Moor.

The Terriers are just 2 points away from Spurs, having made a decent start to the campaign but they will not find it easy to take anything away from this game.

Team News

Pochettino will be without the services of Danny Rose, Victor Wanyama and Eric Lamela, who are all injured. Serge Aurier is suspended while Mousa Dembele and Christian Eriksen are carrying niggles. However, that should not stop the duo from making it to the starting XI this weekend. Jan Vertonghen and Dele Alli are also back after missing out last weekend.

Formation: 3-4-3

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

GK – Hugo Lloris

The French ace is the first choice shot-stopper for Spurs and should keep his place in the side for this game.

CB – Toby Alderweireld

The Belgian international is easily one of the best in the business in England and is expected to play on the right-hand side of the backline.

Davinson Sanchez

CB – Davinson Sanchez

The summer-buy for Spurs, Sanchez has adjusted well to the new conditions and is a regular starter at the heart of the defence for his side.

CB – Jan Vertonghen

Vertonghen has also been a rock at the back for the London outfit and he should complete the back-3 for Pochettino in this game.

RWB – Kieran Trippier

With lack of options at right-back, the manager should stick with Trippier, who has been in decent form of late.

CM – Harry Winks

With Wanyama and Dembele both doubtful for this game, Winks, who had a superb game in the UCL, is expected to keep his place in the middle of the park.

CM – Eric Dier

The versatile Englishman is the only other option in this role for Spurs and he should partner Winks, to add mettle to his side’s midfield.

LWB – Ben Davies

With Danny Rose still out injured, Pochettino has little option but to stick with Davies as a wing-back on the left flank.

RW – Chrisitan Eriksen

Missed the UCL game earlier this week due to an illness but is now back and should be raring to go.

LW – Dele Alli

The English youngster has not been in great form this season but this game is the perfect opportunity for him to find some lost touch in front of goal.

ST – Harry Kane

After yet another hat-trick to his name, Kane has now hit the ground running and will be the biggest threat to David Wagner’s side in this tie.
