Predicted Manchester City Line-up To Face Burnley In The Premier League
Manchester City are the team to beat this season as Pep Guardiola has finally managed to get the team to play to their strengths. Their recent mauling of Stoke City is still fresh in the mind but Guardiola’s side are back in action this weekend when they face Burnley at the Etihad Stadium. They also managed to edge out a 2-1 victory over Napoli in the UCL fixture during the week and will be high on confidence going into this game.
The Clarets have been decent this season, holding West Ham to a draw in the previous encounter but with the form that Man City are in, Stoke will do well to even take a point.

Skipper Vincent Kompany and full-back Benjamin Mendy remain long-term injury absentees for Pep Guardiola. They remain the only players unavailable for selection in this game.

The first choice stopper for Pep, Ederson will want to keep a clean sheet, to complement the performances of his front line.

The English defender has not been consistent early this season but will hope to have a comfortable outing against the Clarets.

The Argentine will have to stick tight to the likes of Chris Wood and keep his danger to a minimum to help City dominate the game at the other end.

Having shown great promise in a make-shift position, Delph is expected to keep his place as a left-back this weekend as well.

Though Fernandinho has been impressive, Gundogan adds a bit of flair to City’s midfield and is expected to start this game, coming back from an injury.

Guardiola was full of praise for Silva after the previous game and he will hope that the fellow Spaniard will put in a similar performance this weekend as well.

Easily the most in-form player in the PL at the moment, de Bruyne will surely be the biggest threat to Burnley in this fixture.

With Burnley expected to sit back and defend for long periods, Guardiola should give the swift-footed Portuguese a chance on the right flank.

The former Liverpool ace is in stunning form early this season and is an automatic starter for City on the left flank.

The Argentine is finally back to full fitness and should be given a chance to lead the line, giving Brazilian sensation Gabriel Jesus a place on the bench.
