Predicted Huddersfield Town Line-up To Face West Ham United In The Premier League

Huddersfield Town will take on under-pressure West Ham United at the London Olympic Stadium on Monday night, in match-week four of the Premier League.

The Terriers have had a great start to life in the top-flight, having won twice and drawn one game so far. They occupy the third place in the league standings, level on points with second-placed Liverpool, but behind on goal difference. Manager David Wagner will be hoping that the excellent early form will be carried on after the international break too, against a Hammers side that hasn’t scored a point yet this season.

Central defenders Martin Cranie and Jon Gorenc-Stankovic continue to be absent for the Terriers, while midfielder Jonathan Hogg also remains a major doubt for the game.

Manager: David Wagner

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Jonas Lossl (GK)

The Danish shot-stopper has done a fine job between the sticks for the Terriers since his arrival, keeping 3 clean sheets in 3 league games. Would want to add another this Monday night.

Tommy Smith (RB)

The captain is a consistent performer for Huddersfield and offers a great threat with his forward forays down the right-hand side. Sure to start.

Tommy Smith

Christopher Schindler (CB)

Has established himself as the cornerstone of the backline for Wagner’s side and should continue in the defence, against the Hammers.

Mathias Jorgensen (CB)

The summer arrival has had a good impact so far and has forged a good understanding with Schindler. Will partner the German in the heart of the defence.

Chris Lowe (LB)

And at left-back, once again, no change is expected, with the 28-year old Chris Lowe set to feature from the kick-off.

Aaron Mooy (CM)

The Aussie was the Terriers’ stand-out player last season when on loan and has carried on from there after making the move permanent this summer. A constant fixture in the XI.

Phillip Billing (CM)

The young Phillip Billing has had a strong start to the campaign and looks like the ideal foil for Mooy in the middle of the park. Set for his fourth league start.

Elias Kachunga (RW)

On the right-hand side of the attack, the 25-year old Elias Kachunga is expected to feature from the get-go. The winger has registered just a single assist so far and would want to get going, against a struggling West Ham side.

Kasey Palmer (CAM)

Through the middle in the No.10 role will be the young Kasey Palmer. The loanee from Chelsea looks like a bright prospect and has the skillset to cause troubles to the opposition defence.

Steve Mounie

Tom Ince (LW)

The left flank will most likely be taken up by Englishman Tom Ince. The 25-year old is yet to score or assist a single goal this season so far and would want to change that at the earliest.

Steve Mounie (ST)

Spearheading the attack for the Terriers will be new recruit Steve Mounie. The 22-year old has already netted twice in the league and could prove to be a handful for West Ham’s struggling defence.
