I don’t know why Ronaldo is sulking – Benzema

Real Madrid start Christiano Ronaldo did not celebrate after scoring against Granada in a league match last week and that has paved the way for a world of rumors around the player, linking him with various clubs across Europe. But his team mate Karim Benzema claims that the player is normal and that he has not seen any evidence of the player being unhappy at the club.

Benzema claims he does not know the reason for Ronaldo’s sadness

The former Manchester United forward claimed post-match that he was ‘a little sad’, but declined to offer any further explanation. This led to a world of media stories speculating the player could leave the club and each one predicting their own cause for the sadness of Ronaldo, but France International and his team mate Benzema revealed that his team-mate was not cutting a dejected figure around the club.

“I don’t know why Ronaldo is sulking,” Benzema told a press conference. “I haven’t really followed the story but I haven’t seen him unhappy.”

The Spanish media suggested that Ronaldo, was eager to leave the Bernabeu, with free-spending Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester city being a favourable destination for the player. But Ronaldo was quick to cut down links with Manchester city as he claimed that he will never join the rivals of his former club Manchester United. Other theories also suggested that Ronaldo’s wages was the reason for his sadness, the player earns around 12.6 million dollars per season which is lower than many of the other super stars like Messi, Ibrahimovic, Torres and Aguero. 

Ronaldo, who has scored 150 goals in 149 matches for Madrid is wants to negotiate a deal over his contract extension and On Tuesday Ronaldo took to Twitter to reassure his fans that he remains fully committed to the Spanish champion’s cause, and rejected accusations that his current issues were motivated by money.
