Just when it seemed that things could not get any worse for Premier League outfit Liverpool, it once again just has. With Jurgen Klopp’s arrival at Anfield, everything looked better and it seemed that the good times are just round the corner. However, it seems now that striker Danny Ings is out for the rest of the season. The 22-year-old recently made his debut for the England national side, yet has unfortunately suffered a cruciate ligament injury, as per what sources have told ESPN FC.

The former Burnley suffered the injury during a training session at Melwood on Wednesday, as scans confirmed that there is a tear in his cruciate ligament. He will now miss at least six months, which would mean he would the Merseyside club will have to do without him for the rest of the season.

Further, Ings might not even feature for The Three Lions at the 2016 European Championship, after his debut in Monday’s 3-0 win over Lithuania. The Reds will now be without stars like Christian Benteke, Roberto Firmino and defender Joe Gomez for Saturday’s trip to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham.
