Middlesbrough played out a 1-1 draw against Hull City in the Championship as they failed to keep pace at the top of the table. Tony Pulis’ men are now placed 3rd after facing back to back draws in the league.
Britt Assombalonga opened the scoring for Boro before Jarrod Bowen struck to level the matters. Both teams will rue their missed chances but it is Hull City who will be hurt by this result, sitting just two points above the relegation zone.
Randolph didn’t have much to do in the first half and endured a quiet game apart from the Hull City goal. Made a decent save of Grosicki’s free-kick as well.
Didn’t look comfortable all night and gave away a needless foul which led to a penalty.
Flint was defensive superb and came close to finding the back of the net in the second half.
Seemed flustered on one or two occasions, but grew into the game. Was a whisker away from scoring as he produced a fierce drive early in the second half.
His deliveries were very poor in this game but he did look good running up and down the field.
Provided defensive stability in the middle of the park. However, he was booked after a couple of clumsy challenges.
Saville didn’t really stand out and endured a mediocre game. He was unable to offer much going forward.
Provided the assist for Boro’s goal and almost nicked a winner in the end. Howson looked lively all game.
McQueen was disappointing with his deliveries into the box. He didn’t offer much going forward.
Didn’t look good in the first half but scored early on in the second. Apart from the goal, he didn’t really threaten.
Worked hard all game but was unable to produce much going forward.
His energy caused problems in the final third but Downing’s deliveries were poor.
Came on and did his bit defensively. He ensured Boro saw out the game.
