Middlesbrough Player Ratings vs Hull City

Middlesbrough played out a 1-1 draw against Hull City in the Championship as they failed to keep pace at the top of the table. Tony Pulis’ men are now placed 3rd after facing back to back draws in the league.

Britt Assombalonga opened the scoring for Boro before Jarrod Bowen struck to level the matters. Both teams will rue their missed chances but it is Hull City who will be hurt by this result, sitting just two points above the relegation zone.

Middlesbrough Player Ratings

Darren Randolph (6/10)

Randolph didn’t have much to do in the first half and endured a quiet game apart from the Hull City goal. Made a decent save of Grosicki’s free-kick as well.

Daniel Ayala (5/10)

Didn’t look comfortable all night and gave away a needless foul which led to a penalty.

Aden Flint (7/10)

Flint was defensive superb and came close to finding the back of the net in the second half.

George Friend (6/10)

Seemed flustered on one or two occasions, but grew into the game. Was a whisker away from scoring as he produced a fierce drive early in the second half.

Ryan Shotton (6/10)

His deliveries were very poor in this game but he did look good running up and down the field.

Adam Clayton (6/10)

Provided defensive stability in the middle of the park. However, he was booked after a couple of clumsy challenges.

George Saville (5/10)

Saville didn’t really stand out and endured a mediocre game. He was unable to offer much going forward.

Jonny Howson (7/10)

Provided the assist for Boro’s goal and almost nicked a winner in the end. Howson looked lively all game.
