Alan Pardew, being named as the manager of the year in last season tuned his troops to gain 5th spot in the league table. That was a stunning season for the Magpies. This time he is more confident to deploy the talents of his young guns to seal a better spot. Who are the best guns of the Toon Army, who Pardew banks on!!!!!

Papiss Cisse

Joining the Magpies in January 2012, he has scored 13 goals in 14 appearances. He is the look out man this season for NUFC. He has been the local hero last season for the toon army. He has given astounding performance this season.

Yohan Cabaye

Having a good run at Euro 2012, Cabaye is all set ready to join hands with his local club. With rumours spreading about the £8 million deal for cabaye to move to Barcelona, manager has given an exit to the rumours stating that he would be with the Tyneside club for the next season.

Demba Ba

He has made his entry loud with a hat trick against Blackburn rovers in a home win. He turned out to be an excellent workout for Newcastle with his second hat trick against stoke in an away win. Being a consistent goal scorer last season, he is certainly the main man for the team to be at the top 3 in the first half. He was named “Premier League player of the match” in Dec’11. Further he was voted as the “Best signing of 2011/12 season” by Managers of premier league.

Hatem Ben Arfa

Facing disciplinary action from his national team, the Mid-fielder is set to return to the Magpies for 2012/13 season. So much controversies revolving around, Pardew believes that Arfa would deliver his best to the club. Arfa was strong contender for the Goal of the season for his scintillating goal against Bolton by picking the ball from his own half and running 70 yards before he finished it. He has the potential to put the Magpies on top with his heroics.
