Predicted Ipswich Lineup Featuring Bersant Celina

Having already secured the encouraging signings of Joe Garner and Emyr Huws, Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Man City’s attacking midfield player Bersant Celina on loan.

The Kosovan international spent last season on loan at FC Twente in the Netherlands where he played 27 league games, scoring 5 goals and making another 5 which was a very impressive return. Mick McCarthy is looking to build for a much better season next time around and here is how they may line up after signing Celina.

Probable Ipswich Lineup

Formation: 4-4-2

GK – Bartosz Bialkowski

It’s three years at the club for the big Pole now and he can start next season as no.1. No doubt.

RB – Jordan Spence

The 27-year-old is capable of getting up and down with good effect and may prove to be a crucial player next term as he reaches his peak as a full-back.

CB – Luke Chambers

The skipper is capable of playing here or at right-back, but it’s in this position where better performances such as the win against Newcastle were achieved.

CB – Adam Webster

Webster is a top defender at this level so with Berra having now left the club, he is likely to step forward.

Emyr Huws

LB – Myles Kenlock

A recent contract extension means the young man can carry on his development and may well be first choice left-back at the club.

RM – Grant Ward

Ward is a thoroughly capable player and one who may still be underestimated in this division.

CM – Cole Skuse

The 31-year-old has tons of experience now and the former Bristol City man has played over 350 games in this division and is still going strong.  That experience next to the likes of Huws and Celina could be a great combo.

CM – Emyr Huws

It was crucial that Ipswich completed the permanent signing of Huws from Cardiff and made it their business to do so early in the transfer window.

Bersant Celina

LM – Bersant Celina

The Man City man is capable of playing right across the attack or midfield and may be used out here to cut in onto his favoured right foot to best effect.

ST – Joe Garner

He didn’t really hit the heights in Scotland with Rangers, but he was a favourite at this level with Preston North End and he can be crucial to the club this season.

ST – David McGoldrick

The striker has another year left on his Ipswich contract and can be trusted to find goals on a regular basis.
