According to a report by The Sun, Real Madrid star Gareth Bale could be making a move to English side Manchester United as early as January.
Wales winger Bale clearly does not seem to be involved in manager Zinedine Zidane’s plans as of now.
The Welshman had been out for almost a month after tearing his calf muscle against Croatia last month.
However, Bale spiced up things a little when he made himself available for the national side in the 2020 Euro qualifiers.
The 30-year old was on the verge of moving to China’s Jiangsu Suning in the summer, as claimed by The Sun.
However, Real blocked the move and now, it looks like he could be United’s for the taking.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils have had a rather difficult start to their season, as they lost a few initial matches to be placed 7th in the league.
Ushering in someone like Bale could be a huge boost for manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer and his young squad.
The experienced Welshman’s lightning runs on the flanks would be capable of reviving United’s blunt attack.
Real, on the other hand, are planning to offload Bale to Old Trafford as leverage for a money plus swap deal to grab the services of Frenchman Paul Pogba, according to The Sun.
Now, let us take a look at how United could line-up if Bale joins the side and Pogba goes the other way.
Still United’s undisputed No.1 keeper, the Spaniard is one of the most recognizable faces in the squad.
With 54 tackles to his name, the young full-back has matured into one of the toughest defenders around.
The England international has not been at his best and he is capable of working wonders on his day.
The Swede has slowly established his place as a regular in the United squad.
The young 19-year old’s strong displays in the recent games have caught the manager’s attention. He has played in United’s last three games.
Fred has integrated himself slowly into the side and could add variety in the middle as a left-footer.
The Scotsman has been United’s top midfielder of the season so far, with three goals and one assist.
Yet to impress but possibly the Red Devils’ best bet for this position, considering the out-of-form Jesse Lingard and ageing Juan Mata.
A potent threat, Rashford’s explosive burst of pace and eye for goal makes him one of the most dreaded attackers in the league.
Has scored and assisted three times in the league till now. The Frenchman seems to be in good form but does struggle with consistency.
Probably one of the best in England during his time at Tottenham. He is not as pacey and fiery as he used to be but still has a dangerous left foot that could win matches out of nowhere.
