Greatest Premier League London XI Of All Time: Arsenal And Chelsea Rule The Roost

Greatest Premier League London XI Of All Time

Red, White and Blue, Claret as well and a whole host of colours, you would be thinking we were speaking about the flag of a country, but London is home to a ton of clubs, well not a ton literally but a good number of clubs.

Tottenham, West Ham, Chelsea, Arsenal, QPR and the list goes on, each club has a story of its own and has a rich history as well. While most of the Premier League followers would know of the impact Arsene Wenger has had on Arsenal and how Roman has changed the history of Chelsea with his wallet, all the clubs have had some great players turn up for their side and we will try to name the greatest ever Premier League XI from the London sides.

Goal Keeper And Defence

Petr Cech

A tough choice to make between David Seaman and Petr Cech but the Chelsea keeper just edges ahead of the Arsenal goalkeeper. Cech has been a constant from the days Jose Mourinho took the club over the first time. The Czech goalkeeper has been stellar for Chelsea throughout the years and he might be playing his last season at Chelsea, but he still is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.

Lee Dixon

One of the toughest right backs ever to have played the game, Lee Dixon was part of an Arsenal that was winning games 1-0 or 2-1. He wasn’t the most attacking player in the world but the hard work he put in for the team can and never will be forgotten.

Tony Adams

A leader of men, Tony Adams was brilliant on the pitch, he wasn’t the fastest player out there, but his game intelligence was unparalleled. The English defender was Arsenal through and through and is considered to be their greatest captain ever.

John Terry

The leader of the Chelsea team, Terry has turned the clock back with his amazing performance this season and has been doing so for quite a few seasons in the Blue of Chelsea. A leader of men on the field, Terry has been one of the best centre backs ever to have played in the Premier League and hopefully we can see him for a few more seasons leading Chelsea out.

Ashley Cole

A controversial figure on the list Ashley Cole lost a lot of support when he forced a move away from Arsenal to join rivals Chelsea which gave him the nickname of ‘Cashley’, barring that transgression, Cole was one of the best left-backs in the history of the league and his glut of winners’ medals proves that.
