Graham Potter to make no changes – Strongest 4-2-2-2 Swansea City XI to face QPR

Predicted Swansea City line-up to face QPR in the Championship

Swansea City will be refreshed after receiving a week’s rest, given that the club were knocked out of the League Cup in the third round. The Swans were unable to get past a rigid Middlesbrough side in the league last weekend as both sides played out a stalemate.

Graham Potter’s men return to take on Queens Park Rangers in the Championship this weekend and the manager will be aiming to pick up a positive result in order to keep pace with the leaders. QPR are on the back of a loss against Norwich City and would be determined to do well.

Team News

Bersant Celina, Jefferson Montero and Leroy Fer are still out and will be unavailable for this game as well. Long-term absentee Wilfried Bony is ruled out too.

Probable Swansea XI

Manager: Graham Potter

Formation: 4-2-2-2

Erwin Mulder (GK)

Mulder came into the side after Nordfeldt succumbed to an injury. He has since kept his place between the sticks and should continue doing so for this game as well.

Conor Roberts (RB)

Roberts has taken his career to new heights this season after receiving an extended role under Graham Potter this season.

Van Der Hoorn (CB)

The Swans’ leader and commander at the back has been a massive presence for the club. He will lead them from behind.

Mike van der Hoorn

Joe Rodon (CB)

Rodon continues to turn heads as he makes a name for himself this season. The youngster will partner Van Der Hoorn at the back.

Martin Olsson (LB)

Olsson’s form has slightly faded away but his marauding runs down the flank will be useful for the Swans in this game.

Kyle Naughton (RCM)

Naughton looked good after being deployed in a central midfield role in the last game. Though not a polished display, the 29-year-old has shown he is more than capable of putting in a good shift.

Kyle Naughton

Matt Grimes (LCM)

Grimes has been fruitful with his crisp passing and distribution in the middle of the park. He will partner Naughton in central midfield.

Barry McKay (RAM)

McKay is one of the main sources of supply going forward. However, the midfielder needs to show more consistency in his performances.

Yan Dhanda (LAM)

The talented youngster has good ability on the ball and is capable of taking on defenders in the final third. He can stretch the defenders out of their positions and can score goals as well.

Wayne Routledge (ST)

The 33-year-old is yet to hit full stride this season but there’s no doubt he possesses the ability to do so. His pace and energy have always been a huge asset.

Oliver McBurnie (ST)

Swansea’s top-scorer will be aiming to add to his 4 goals this season. He is extremely clinical in the final third.
