Who Will Be The Winner If Tottenham Get Gareth Bale In A Swap Deal With Real Madrid For Harry Kane?

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to offer Gareth Bale as part of a swap deal with Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane. It has been no secret that the reigning European champions have been interested in a deal for the English sensation and Spurs have also been harbouring an interest in securing Bale’s services. It remains to be seen though if Mauricio Pochettino is willing to part ways with Kane to get Bale back in the team.

Bale was in lethal form for Tottenham previously and enjoyed a reputation similar to Kane’s right now. He eventually joined Real and put in some brilliant performances for the side and was even an integral part of the famed BBC trio which comprised of him, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.

However, injuries have stunted to his growth to a great extent and the player has been struggling lately. Once known for his speed, Bale’s pace seems to have significantly reduced and that has caused problems for the Spanish giants.

Currently sitting at 4th spot in the points table, the defending champions are behind Valencia and Bale has not done much to lessen their troubles, which is understood to have prompted the club to consider freeing themselves of this wage burden to bring in a consistent performer. Kane does seem like the right person to address their problems. He has been in phenomenal form for Spurs this season and has truly established himself as the best across Europe.

His goalscoring skills, creativity and pace will most certainly propel Real Madrid towards greater glory, which is likely to help them salvage the rest of the season and possibly even harbour hopes of catching up to arch-rivals Barcelona, who are currently topping the Spanish league.

Kane will bring in a top-quality attacking intent and that is something Real are in dire need of. Tottenham, on the other hand, would have to let go of their prized possession and make do with a player who was their former superstar but is struggling with fitness at present.

Hence, Real would undoubtedly be the winners if such a deal were to happen. For any team to lose out a player like Kane in the middle of the season will be a major setback, even more so when the team has been heavily reliant on him. Getting Bale back under ordinary circumstances would be beneficial but considering how the player is plagued with injuries, Spurs will find themselves with the shorter end of the stick.
