Go For It Koeman – This £21.25m Attacker Can Effectively Replace The Chelsea Bound Lukaku At Everton

Can Michy Batshuayi Replace Romelu Lukaku At Everton?

Ronald Koeman was good in his first season at the Goodison Park where he helped Everton to a place in the Europa League next season. But with his star striker Romelu Lukaku looking for an exit, the manager will have to work hard in this transfer window to make sure that they can continue their form next season as well.

According to reports, Everton are looking at Chelsea star Michy Batshuayi and they could accept the Belgian star as a part of the deal to sell Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea. Though the youngster was an expensive signing by Conte, he is not expected to make Romelu Lukaku cheaper and this could work out well for Everton.

The Merseyside club will have to spend on more than one striker this summer as they cannot expect one player to repeat Lukaku’s heroics next season in the Europa League. They will want to buy an established and experienced star along with a potential superstar who can come good in the long run.

There are very few prospects that fit the bill better than Batshuayi. With 11 goals and 3 assists in all competitions this season for the Blues, Batshuayi will be known for the goal he scored against the Baggies that confirmed Antonio Conte’s first trophy in England. But he is far from a first choice for the Italian who seems ready to offload him.

Known for his finishing, the 23-year old is deadly in front of the goal but still, needs to learn his trade in England. He is not too strong in the air, nor is he good at hold up play. But he can run the lines and create havoc in the final third, and this is something Koeman will slowly work into his squad.

Replacing his Belgian compatriot will not be easy for Batshuayi but like already mentioned, Koeman will look for another experienced head and this will mean that the club would look at him as a future prospect.

The lack of game time at the Stamford Bridge also stunted his growth but if Koeman can get his side to play to the strengths of the 23-year old, there is a great chance that he would turn into a superstar. At the moment, he reportedly prefers a move to AS Monaco but Everton can offer a mouthwatering project which would be too hard for him to resist. Batshuayi would be an excellent replacement for Lukaku and Everton must go and get him at all costs.
