Chelsea Club captain John Terry is wanted at Shanghai SIPG by Andre Villas-Boas claims Daily Mirror. The former Chelsea manager was sacked from west London following a string of bad results and falling out with senior players including Terry but is now keen on a reunion with the Chelsea legend.

Terry hasn’t started the last four premier league games for Chelsea and is falling lower down the pecking order with Conte’s new 3-4-3 formation. He has just played six minutes of league football since returning from injury last month in October. The one game he started against West Ham ended in a 2-1 defeat by the Hammers which saw Terry lost and ill-assured of his surroundings.

A year ago, Terry refused and rejected offers from Asian clubs to play another season at Chelsea but Villas Boas, the current manager of one of the wealthiest clubs in world football being big money spenders wants to bring the Chelsea defender to play for him once again.

Considering Terry’s age and position in the team this time a move may actually be on the cards, with the skipper unlikely to receive another short-term deal.

Like his long-time Blues team-mate Frank Lampard, Terry remains highly-valued at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea are keen to ensure he does not join another club to pursue his coaching ambitions.

Villas-Boas wants to move for Terry in January, but is prepared to wait until the summer to get his man.
