Forget Davies – Here Are 3 Super Left-Backs Tottenham Hotspur Could Look To Sign

Luke Shaw

The 21-year old has struggled to progress at Manchester United post his double knee-fracture last term. Physically fit, Shaw has struggled to overcome the psychological barrier and has found game time hard to come by under Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese is reportedly growing frustrated at the lack of his development and may look to ship out the former Saints left-back.

Young and full of energy, Shaw would fit the bill perfectly for Pochettino and Tottenham. While there are certain question marks over his current form and fitness given that he has hardly played this season, there are no doubts over the obvious talents and the potential that he has shown in the past.

Shaw has played only 9 times for United this season, but has shown great tenacity while defending and has attacked with the same vigour. At 21, he still has a long way to go and could be the perfect understudy for Danny Rose.

Andrew Robertson

The 22-year old, along with Shaw, is one of the most promising young full-backs in England at the moment and has been a vital part of Hull City squad for a good part of three seasons now. This term, Robertson has played 21 times for the Tigers and has one assist to his name.

A modern day full-back in all ways, Robertson is known for his forays down the left-flank but can be susceptible at the back sometimes. He loves to take on the opponents and often goes past them easily with his dribbling abilities combined with a great turn of pace.

Robertson could be the cheapest alternative for Tottenham in this list and given that Hull City are bound for relegation, the player will also jump at the opportunity to play for a club that is competing for the title.
