Seamus Coleman:
There was no doubt on who would be Everton’s player of the season. In a season of many positives, 25 year old Seamus Coleman perhaps stood out. The Irishman with his buccaneering performances won plaudits all over, scoring 6 goals and grabbing a couple of assists in 36 appearances. The right back was also voted in the PFA Team of the year and rightly deserved his place with immaculate shifts in the right back slot.
Aaron Ramsey:
Perhaps it was fitting at the end! Aaron Ramsey’s extra time goal against Hull at Wembley finally ended Arsenal’s 9 year long wait without silverware as Arsene Wenger’s men lifted the FA cup after coming from two goals down. The Gunners shamefully threw the Premier League title after leading the race till the end of January as Arsenal fans would contemplate what might have been had Ramsey been fit for the entire season. The 23 year old grabbed 12 goals and 9 assists in 29 appearances for the London side in what was a terrific season for the Welshman, who seemed unstoppable when at full flow.
