Dream Real Madrid Lineup For 2017/18 Season Including Possible Summer Arrivals

Zinedine Zidane has been a busy man since his Real Madrid side lifted their 12th Champions League title around a month ago. The French manager is already targeting some top class stars to add to his squad at the Bernabeu next season and has been linked to some of the finest players in Europe.

This will also see a number of players leave the club this summer with Zidane already ready to let go a couple of first team stars as well. Los Blancos could have a completely different look, albeit a stronger one, next season under Zidane. So how would Real lineup next season? Here is the dream lineup Real might field to meet their challenges next season – including their top transfer targets.

Defence:

While Keylor Navas reportedly has the backing of the manager and the owner of the club, Real will be looking to price David de Gea away from Manchester United and should start the Spaniard in goal next season if the opportunity presents itself.

Dani Carvajal and Marcelo have done a great job in the backline and though Real might add another fullback or two to their lineup, the duo is expected to remain first choice next season. Sergio Ramos has shown that he is still among the best in the business and might have yet another year under his belt while Raphael Varane, though he has attracted interests from elsewhere in Europe, should partner Ramos at the back to complete the backline.

Midfield:

Though Casemiro has been impeccable, he has his own flaws and might have to be replaced next season. N’Golo Kante and Marco Verratti have both been linked with a move to the Bernabeu. While the Chelsea star might be hard to get, the PSG midfielder has recently revealed that he is open for a move and is a target for Barcelona as well. Time to poke one in maybe?

He could be just the addition needed for Real’s upcoming season. Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Mateo Kovacic is a decent midfield trio while Isco, who has also been linked with an exit, should help Real see off the challenges of the next season.

Attack:

Though Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with an exit recently, he should stay back come the end of the transfer window and is expected to lead the attacking line for the side. Karim Benzema might find it hard to get into the first team while Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez are expected to be sold.

Marco Asensio has been at his devastating best but next season might be too early for him to start regularly. Gareth Bale has been linked with an exit but is expected to stay for atleast another year and he could be the first choice yet again, leaving just one place vacant in the attack.

The likes of Kylian Mbappe, Dele Alli, Eden Hazard, Thomas Lemar and Paulo Dybala have all been linked with a move to Real and it will be interesting to see who Zidane uses next season.

Here is how Real Madrid could lineup:
