Dream Liverpool XI For 2018/19 Season Featuring £48m New Signing and £90m-rated Frenchman

We have just a few games left in the season and analysing everything, it’s safe to say that Liverpool have done very well. They are 3rd in the league table and have taken a giant step in qualifying for the Champions League final after beating AS Roma 5-2 in the semi-final first leg at Anfield.

Although anything can happen in the second leg at Rome, there is every chance of the Reds qualifying for the Champions League final.

Liverpool’s transfer business has done wonders this season. Mohamed Salah has ripped apart defences since arriving from AS Roma, while Andrew Robertson has performed extremely well at left-back after a slow start.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been a player revitalised under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp, whereas January signing Virgil van Dijk has solidified Liverpool’s back-line with his energy and aggressive defending. The Reds did sign Naby Keita last summer from RB Leipzig for £48m but he will officially become a Liverpool player this summer.

With not a lot of games left to be played in the season, Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to seal the top-four spot and lead his team to Champions League glory. That said, let us have a look at a dream Liverpool line-up to play next season.

Liverpool Dream XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Jurgen Klopp

Loris Karius (GK)

Since becoming Liverpool’s No.1 between the sticks, Karius has performed very well and has repaid the trust of his manager. He should be the club’s first-choice next season even if Klopp gets a new gloveman.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB)

Alexander-Arnold has been excellent at right-back position for the Reds this season. The player appears to be confident in whatever he does and never shies away from going forward to help his teammates in the attack. He might face competition from the fit-again Nathaniel Clyne but should hold on to his spot next season.

Virgil van Dijk (CB)

Virgil Van Dijk has already settled in well at Liverpool and is one of the first names on the team sheet. He was signed to shore up the defence and the Dutchman has done what was expected of him.

Virgil van Dijk

Dejan Lovren (CB)

Lovren has massively improved by working alongside Van Dijk at the heart of Liverpool defence. His improvement in the second half of the season should see him keep his place.

Andrew Robertson (LB)

What an excellent signing he is turning out to be for the Reds. Robertson has been a force to reckon with at left-back, consistently delivering top performances. He has moved way ahead of Alberto Moreno and should hold on to his place.

Jordan Henderson (CDM)

Henderson sits at the base of the midfield and helps Liverpool tick. His job is to shield the defence and offer the perfect platform for the attackers to express themselves.

Naby Keita (RCM)

New signing Naby Keita should slot in at central midfield. The Guinean is an engine and would add a lot of steel to the midfield. His explosive performances would surely make the Reds a better team.

Thomas Lemar (LCM)

Lemar could be the idle player to fill the void left by Coutinho in January. Pacey and agile, the diminutive Frenchman would add a different dimension to Liverpool’s attack from midfield. He is a dead-ball specialist and is hailed for his fantastic passing and crossing skills. He was linked with Liverpool but reports claim that the Reds cooled their interest. However, the £90m-rated Frenchman would be a great signing for the Merseysiders.

Mohamed Salah (RW)

Salah has been magical in his debut season for the Reds and will retain his place next season. It’s obvious, isn’t it?

Mohamed Salah

Sadio Mane (LW)

Mane looked lost at times in the first half of the season but since Coutinho’s departure, he has stepped up and delivered some eye-catching displays. The Senegalese is a lethal attacker and keeps the ability to win games single-handedly.

Roberto Firmino (ST)

Leading the line will be Roberto Firmino, who is enjoying another fine season under Klopp. It is not just about the goals he scores but also the extra energy and incisiveness he brings to the team. The Brazilian is the perfect player for Klopp.
