Liverpool are closing in on a deal to let Luis Alberto leave Anfield and go to Deportivo La Coruna, according to Estadio Deportivo and other media outlets in Spain. The 22-year old attacking midfielder has a contract with the Reds which will expire in June 2018 and spent the previous season on loan at Malaga. Estadio Deportivo further added that the youngster flew into the Coruña Alvedro airport yesterday and that he will undergo his medical, before making his move official.
At present, it is not clear whether it’s just a simple loan deal or a loan with an option to buy, which could further result into a permanent move.
Things will surely become clearer with time, but for now Luis Alberto surely will not want to keep changing clubs over and over again.
Just 22 years old, the attacker has seen himself go from La Liga giants Sevilla’s B team to the senior side and further on loan to Barcelona B. From there the Merseyside club signed him and sent him on his way again after just nine appearances.
Brendan Rodger’s side would not want to lose the talented youngster permanently, though he is at present surplus to their needs in England.
