Deal Done: Liverpool Confirms The Transfer Of Their Youngster

Liverpool’s young midfielder Daniel Trickett-Smith is heading to join US side Sacramento Republic after being told that the Reds will not be extending his contract a month ago.

The 20 year old player joined the Reds in 2012 from Crewe when he was 16 in a £1m deal, however he never featured in the first team and is now heading to the US. The news came out when the player posted the following through his twitter account:

“Happy to have signed for Sacramento Republic can’t wait to get over there and start playing. Want to say a massive thank you to everyone at Liverpool, staff, players and especially the fans for the support over the years. Unbelievable fans.”

The player, however, has been a regular feature for the Reds U-21 side and his first game for his new club will be against Liverpool on Saturday.

The player is excited to join Sacramento Republic who play in the United Soccer League and were the Champions in 2014. Further, the same is shared by the Sacramento Republic coach who considers Smith as one talented youngster, stating that he can create and score a goal.
