It has been confirmed now that Premier League giants Liverpool have given a trial to teenage keeper Jonathan de Bie. The 15-year-old superstar is a Belgium youth international and began his career with Anderlecht. However, at the moment, the youngster plays for KV Mechelen U17s and U19s and also trains with first-team coach Philippe Vande Walle.
The young goalie has been with the Reds on a trial, taking part in a couple of games and should once again feature in another youth game later this week. Since Brendan Rodgers left Anfield and Jurgen Klopp took over, the German boss has always emphasized on the importance of how youngsters are an important part of the team setup at the Merseyside.
It seems this could be the reason, why the former Borussia Dortmund manager might have given this youngster the opportunity to prove his worth, as at the moment there is no real challenge to first choice keeper Simon Mignolet for his spot.
