The transfer window may have been closed but there are still many sources who are speculating high profile transfers for the summer transfer window. Reports suggest that Atletico Madrid have agreed to sell Jackson Martinez to Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande for around 42 million Euros.
Atletico Madrid had bought the player last summer from Porto for 35 million pounds. Thus, the reports stating that the club is selling the player have shocked many.
According to Marca, the club is planning to reinvest the amount that they receive after they sell Martinez. Diego Costa has been linked with the club for a long time and it has been a club where the Blues player has played his best football. Athletico Madrid will be using the money received from selling Martinez to bring back Costa to Atletico.
Atletico Madrid will be pressing for Costa’s move in June, however there has been no mention as to the amount that Chelsea will quote for their No-1 forward.
