Chelsea Set To Replace Terry From Within The Club, Thanks To The Loan System

Borussia Monchengladbach are looking out for Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen.

According to the Mirror, Gladbach are looking to add the defender to their squad in a £4 million deal in the summer.

The 19 year old impressed Gladbach during the first half of his 2 year loan with the club and as such it is not surprising that the club is looking to sign the player on a permanent basis and for a long term deal.

While Chelsea is looking to keep the player long term as well, as Christensen signed a long term contract with the Blues before leaving last season. Chelsea are prepared re-call the defender as they he has a future under new manager Antonio Conte.

He has made 31 appearances for fourth-placed Monchengladach, including five in the Champions League, and convinced Chelsea staff he is ready to be part of their first-team setup next season. He is 19-years old and has a contract with the Blues until 2020 and with Terry leaving, Cahill not up to the mark recently, Christensen will have a future at Stamford Bridge even if does have to wait a couple of seasons before featuring regularly in the starting eleven.
