Brazilian sensation Hulk is looking forward to play in cash-rich English Premier League following his performance in Confederations Cup. And the competition to sign Hulk will be in between, none other than, London-rivals Chelsea and Tottenham. This is what he said to the Brazilian TVstation TV Paraiba: “Those approaches do exist”. Mourinho confirmed that he will get his back from the Russian Oil-baron to get the Brazilian sensation in the Stamford Bridge, bidding a whopping £40m bid for his services. Spurs is yet to conform a bid amount for Hulk, but they are on a verge to strengthen their attacking line, giving a support to the mighty Bale.
Only a year ago, after London Olympics, Hulk moved to Zenit St. Petersburg from FC Porto. The transfer figured a staggering amount of €40 million, but he failed to serve the Russian club as he only netted 11 times in his 30 appearances there. The talks of leaving Zenit St. Petersburg was quite expected due to his lack of co-ordination with the club coach Luciano Spalletti.
But the transfer fee of Hulk may lead to a road block of his entry to Mourinho’s brigade, as another source confirmed that the Portuguese manager is eyeing a bid for the talk-of-the-town Uruguayan Luis Suarez. Chelsea gave a bid of £34m for him, along with a payment of £4.7m a season, after missing out another Uruguayan Edinson Cavani.
Suarez’s transfer has been an unrelenting speculation because of his unwillingness to play at the EPL due to his rift with the English press, with the Uruguayan talking up a move to Real Madrid. Brendan Rodgers still maintains that Suarez will feature for the Merseyside club next season, but even he knows that the chances of that happening are fading away with each passing day. With that in mind, Rodgers has already signed Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto from Spain to boost the attack.
It is expected that the situations will become clearer with the passing weeks, although Liverpool are adamant that they would not entertain any late bid from clubs for the striker and thus suffer same fate they did last season with too few main striker from 1st September.
