Chelsea FC: 3 Players Who Should Leave Them This January Window

Share

With the January Transfer Window lurking in about a month and a half time, various clubs all across Europe are desperately looking to bolster their squad come January. Chelsea looks to be one of the major clubs who will look forward for their Championship aspirations and Manager Jose Mourinho would certainly be on the lookout for another striker to add to his already impressive squad, there are however some of the players who will be on their way out of Stamford Bridge. So here are three players who according to me should leave the Bridge for various reasons.

Cesar Azpilicueta:

The Spanish right back has attracted interest all over Europe with Rafa Benitez’s Napoli ponder a move for Azpilicueta. With limited game time and now playing out of position at left back to compensate for Ashley Cole’s injury, Azpilicueta might want to leave for a club who will provide him enough time out on the pitch to stake claims for a World Cup place come next year in Samba land.

Juan Mata:

It’s unfortunate to name the Spanish International in this list here. One of the best players of the Chelsea squad now over for the last two campaigns, Mata had the most assists playing in the number ten role. However, with Jose Mourinho now at the Stamford Bridge helm, Mata has been surprisingly relegated to the bench with Oscar being preferred in the attacking midfielder role, where the Brazilian has just been astonishing this campaign. With Paris St Germain willing to splash the cash for the Spaniard, Mata too would be on the lookout for a chance to move somewhere where he would be the focal point of his team’s attack and also lay a claim for next year’s showcase World Cup in Brazil.

Kevin De Bruye:

With Chelsea having a plethora of midfielders, De Bruyne too has limited time on the pitch. The Belgian is one of the hottest prospects in Europe and spending his time on the bench is doing no good. Majority of the clubs all across Europe would want his signature on the dotted lines come this January, De Bruyne might just be on the verge of joining a club outside England to sharpen his skills and prove his dazzling display and dynamism on the pitch. He was recently linked with Spanish club Atletico Madrid which does seem to be a good deal for both the parties.
