Premier League champions Chelsea are confident of completing the signing of Everton defender John Stones, as per reports. Manager Jose Mourinho previously made a £20m offer for the 21-year old defensive starlet, which was rejected by the Toffees. Despite that, it is believed the west London side are now preparing a new £26m bid to tempt the Merseyside club into selling their English center-back.
At the moment, the Blues totally believe that they will be able to complete the signing of the youngster and bring him to Stamford Bridge, according to recent claims from ESPN.
The Portuguese boss could be on the verge of completing his fourth summer signing, as it was suggested that Stones has told current boss Roberto Martinez that he is ready for a big-money move away from Goodison Park and Chelsea are his next destination.
The England international has 44 appearances for Everton, scoring once since joining the club in 2013.
