Manchester City got the player they wanted for so long, having courted Raheem Sterling, they finally got the player in for a whopping £49 million. It is to be seen if that money was well spent but the youngster has shown signs of just how good he is during the preseason for City.
The last game of the preseason campaign for the Citizens is against VFB Stuttgart and they then begin their Premier League campaign next week. This is the last chance for City to check out how the team clicks and if Pelligrini wants to make any changes to the formation. We predict the starting line-up for the Blue half of Manchester as they face German opposition.
Joe Hart
The City and England number one should be in goal ahead of another thrilling Premier League season.
Gael Clichy
The French defender would be expecting another tough season for City but there really isn’t a lot of competition for his starting spot.
Vincent Kompany
The leader of men in the team, it would be a great surprise if Kompany is left out of the team, so close to the start of the season.
Eliaquim Mangala
This is a do or die season for Mangala, he wasn’t the greatest option for Manchester City last season but could make amends this season if he starts well.
Pablo Zabaleta
Zabaleta will continue down the right for City after a good season last time around. A gifted defender and a hard worker that any team can boast about.
Fernandinho
The Brazilian might not have had the greatest season for City last year but he should get a look into the team for this game at least.
Yaya Toure
The on and off Ivorian should get a start in this game and he will be important to City’s chances for any silverware this season.
Raheem Sterling
The big money man, Sterling should be starting for City and he should be displaying his array of skills and ability to prove to everyone that he is worth every bit that City paid for him.
Jesus Navas
The speedster had an extremely disappointing season last time around and needs to pull up his socks if he is to keep a place in the team in the near future.
David Silva
The player that makes the team tick, David Silva might have had an off season last time around but he will be raring to go and more importantly push City to another title maybe?
Wilfried Bony
Aguero might be the number one striker in the team but Bony could provide a great plan B for the team, he has the ability to do well, just needs a bit of time to gel into the team.
