Full Time: Burnley 0-0 Huddersfield Town
Burnley will rue their missed chances as they played out a 0-0 draw against Huddersfield Town at the Turf Moor, in game-week 6 of the Premier League.
In what was a tighty contested game, with both teams hardly giving an inch to each other, Chris Wood had a couple of decent opportunities to put the Clarets ahead, while Tom Ince came close for the Terriers. But neither side had the quality going forward, to breach the opponents, and ended up sharing the spoils on the day.
The point means that Burnley sit at 9th place in the league table with 9 points from 6 games. Here’s how Sean Dyche’s players performed on the day:

Nick Pope – 6.5/10
Did not have a lot to do in goal, but was assertive when he needed to be. A couple of long balls launched the attacks as well.
Matthew Lowton – 6/10
Did not offer a whole lot going forward, except for a late cross to pick out Barnes. Was defensively sound as always.
James Tarkowski – 6.5/10
Won all of his aerial duels at the back and continued his strong run in defence. Was booked late on for a needless foul in a dangerous area.
Ben Mee – 6.5/10
The 27-year old too was fairly solid at the back, but gave away a couple of unnecessary fouls. His distribution from the back was good.
Stephen Ward – 7/10
Was Burnley’s best outlet going forward, sending in a number of inviting crosses into the box, one of which Wood headed wide when he should have scored. Steady display.
Scott Arfield – 6/10
Was booked in the first-half. Switched flanks with Robbie Brady and had a couple of decent moments, but never really looked like opening up his former team.
Jeff Hendrick – 6/10
Ran about in the midfield without really having a telling impact on the game. A few neat passes aside, he didn’t do anything noteworthy.
Jack Cork – 6/10
Was booked as early as the 7th minute and walked on a tightrope all game long. Made a few important interceptions, but lost the ball a little more than he would have liked to.
Steven Defour – 6/10
Solid from the Belgian, if not spectacular. Made the most interceptions in the game as well (4). A nice pass to Lowton to release the right-back and a dangerous cross from deep aside, there was not much attacking output.
Robbie Brady – 6/10
His set-piece deliveries were inconsistent. While there were glimpses of nice link-up play, he did not do enough to carve out a clear-cut opportunity.
Chris Wood – 6/10
Headed wide from a promising position in the first period. Was always a target at the top and won the most number aerial duels in the game (10). But he probably needed someone to play off him. Worked really hard.
