Breaking: Chelsea On The Verge Of Signing Alexis Sanchez’s Chilean Team-mate, Ahead Of Rivals Arsenal And Liverpool

Reports coming from France suggest that Premier League champions Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Chile international Charles Aranguiz. The superstar was quite impressive in his country’s Copa America triumph and the midfielder is getting plenty of attention from a number of big clubs across Europe, including the Blues.

According to Football Club de Marseilles, Chelsea have made an agreement with Brazilian side Internacional to sign the 26-year old midfielder despite the attentions of Ligue 1 outfit Marseille. Marsille’s current manager Marcelo Bielsa knows the player well, as he previously managed the Chilean national side and it was the Argentine, who gave him his international debut in 2009.

Apart from Chelsea, rivals Manchester City were keeping a close check on the situation, though Jose Mourinho’s side are in pole to sign the 26-year old.

Further, Liverpool, Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen were also keen on signing the talented superstar, though he could be moving to Stamford Bridge soon, if a deal is completed this summer.
