Breaking: Arsenal Agree Fee To Land Thier Next Target (Reports From France)

Looks like Arsene Wenger means business this summer! Having already roped in two quality players in a week’s time, reports from France suggest that Arsenal have agreed a fee with Ligue 1 side OGC Nice to sign Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina.

Nice’s local paper nicematin confirms that the keeper will fly to London and is all set to take a medical and the clubs have agreed a deal worth £3.2m

The 25-year Colombian has attracted his suitors in Europe after his impressive performances for his national side in the recently concluded World Cup. Arsenal, who are without a quality replacement for current first choice keeper Wojciech Szczęsny since their FA Cup winning hero Lukasz Fabianski left the club to join Swansea have been linked with various replacements but none better than Ospina.

However, David Ospina would be more than a backup to Szczesny and would be a real statement of intent from Arsene Wenger. Arsenal fans have been crying out for a quality keeper in their ranks to give competition for the Polish shot stopper and Aspina is the perfect signing who will give Szczesny a run for his money.

The Colombian has been playing for the French side since 2008 and has made over 175 appearances.
