Bradford City’s Secret Behind League Cup Success Revealed

Bradford City have been the success story in this year’s League cup so far. The 2nd division English Championship side have reached the finals of the Capital One Cup against Swansea, which will be played on 24th on this month at Wembley stadium.

So what’s the big secret behind Bradford this season ? Is it luck ? is it because of their manager ? or the efforts put in by the players? To be honest, everything mentioned above is a must for any team to succeed. Bradford City have got the additional blessing of Tibetan leader Dalai Lama.

Bradford City presented the 14th Dalai Lama, Tensin Gyatso, with a personalised claret and amber City shirt and made him their honorary president. Since then, Bradford has not only reached the finals of the league cup, they are also in for a chance to play at the Europa league next season. They have also reached the quarter- final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy. The road to Wembley saw them knock out three Premier league clubs including North London outfit Arsenal.

Dalai Lama who received the shirt from Bradford, have now sent his blessings to the Championship side ahead of their match against Swansea.

The message forwarded to Bradford City’s Chairman Mark Neale through a London-based Office of Tibet which read as:

“On behalf of His Holiness The Dalai Lama, may I offer you, and indeed the whole team of players for Bradford City, huge congratulations on your incredible success.

“If His Holiness’ blessing has helped in any way towards your wonderful efforts, I hope that blessing will continue to bring you good fortune. He would hope that this tremendous achievement can be turned into an opportunity to help others, demonstrating the power of sport to bring happiness to others on and off the pitch.

“He remembers his time in Yorkshire with great affection and wishes you every success in the big match. Of course, we at the Office of Tibet also wish you the best of luck in the final!”

If Bradford do manage to beat Swansea at the Wembley, it will be one the success stories of the season and if Dalai Lama’s blessings are working out Bradford so far, they should probably invite him to the finals !!
