A day ago several media houses had reported that Balotelli could be set for a move to Turkish club Besiktas. The news originated after Mino Raiola, Balotelli’s agent, had said in an interview that the Besiktas president is desperate to land Balotelli at any cost.
However the Turkish club has moved quickly to deny any such reports and their Sporting director has spoken out. Erdal Torunogullari has been quoted by Daily Mirror, “We know Raiola well. He’s even said Balotelli will go to Besiktas, but it’s not like that. We are not interested, our priority is to hold on to Mario Gomez.”
Now this has put a dent in Mario Balotelli’s move. The 25 year old spent the whole of last season at AC Milan on loan but Milan is not willing to make the loan move a permanent deal. Liverpool too are not keen to take him back even though there have been reports that Balotelli will be in the Reds’ squad for pre-season tour. Once a promising player, now the responsibility of finding him a good club lies solely with Mino Raiola.
