Predicted Chelsea Line-up To Face Bournemouth In The Premier League

The Blues will be hoping to maintain their winning momentum after a bad spell of form as they face Bournemouth on Saturday. Chelsea will be looking to secure a win after notching up victories against both Watford and Everton to make it 3 victories in 8 days.

Having said that, Bournemouth also picked up a vital win away to Stoke City last week as the club appears to be intent on fighting their way out of the relegation zone. They also got through in the Carabao Cup with a 3-1 win over Middlesbrough, so the match will be an exciting one with both teams looking for three points.

Team News

Danny Drinkwater played 60 minutes against Everton in the Carabao Cup and is likely to be on the bench for the trip to Bournemouth. N’Golo Kante is close to recovery but he is not expected to be back this weekend. Victor Moses is out injured due to a hamstring complaint. Besides that, Conte has no fresh injury concerns.

Here’s how Chelsea might line up against Bournemouth:

Manager: Antonio Conte

Formation: 3-4-3

Thibaut Courtois (GK)

After an impressive display from Willy Caballero in the Carabao Cup, Courtois is likely to return in goal against Bournemouth.

Gary Cahill (CB)

Cahill was quite shaky against Everton and this trip to Bournemouth could present him with an ideal opportunity to do a lot better.

David Luiz (CB)

Luiz was rested for the mid-week clash, making it extremely likely for him to be back in form for Chelsea. His contribution at the back truly remains unparalleled and he will be important for the club, against Bournemouth.

Cesar Azpilicueta (CB)

Azpilicueta is likely to complete the defensive line. The defender enjoys a strong partnership with Luiz and Cahill, which should come in handy to prevent attacks from the opposition.

Marcos Alonso (LWB)

Alonso should be hoping to take up his usual position, and his role will certainly be crucial as he would need to guard the defence while also supplying attacking runs on the left-hand side.

Davide Zappacosta (RWB)

Parallel to Alonso, Zappacosta is likely to be deployed. The player has done his duty well so far, and Saturday should be no different.

Cesc Fabregas (CM)

Fabregas was quite strong in the Everton game, making it likely for him to receive a start. The player will be looking to continue his good run of form over the weekend.

Tiemoue Bakayoko (DM)

Bakayoko is yet to make a solid impact for Chelsea, which has led to increasing frustration among the fans. However, he is expected to start and possibly redeem himself on Saturday.

Eden Hazard (LW)

Hazard’s start to the season has not been the best, but Conte is expected to deploy the Belgian in his usual role. The fuel behind Chelsea’s fire, Hazard can do a lot better to take Chelsea to new heights.

Pedro (RW)

Pedro was quite strong in their victory against Watford, which should see him receive a place in the starting XI. After being rested for their previous match, the forward should be rejuvenated enough to fight harder.

Alvaro Morata (ST)

Morata will look to extend his good run of form from the match against the Hornets. Conte is likely to deploy him to lead the line after Michy Batshuayi failed to do much against Everton.
