Predicted Tottenham Line-up To Face Borussia Dortmund In The Champions League
Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who are coming off a 3-0 win over Everton on Saturday, will have a much tougher challenge coming up next as they take on Bundesliga Giants, Borussia Dortmund. Spurs have always struggled in the Champions League and will be determined to make an impression by beating Peter Bosz’s side at home.
Dortmund will be no pushovers as they look just as strong as last season, despite losing one of their most important players in the form of Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona in the summer. Tottenham have had a dodgy start to their Premier League campaign but Saturday’s performance against the Toffees will give them a lot of confidence when they face the visitors.
Harry Kane will have a major role to play for Tottenham as the English striker looks to replicate his domestic form at the European level this season. However, Spurs’ only worry remains their bad form at the Wembley. If they can somehow overcome the Wembley curse, the London side can definitely have a good campaign this season.

Danny Rose and Eric Lamela still remain out injured and Victor Wanyama too is out for the game. Dele Alli is out suspended and is not available. Aurier could be in line for his Tottenham debut.

The Frenchman could start in goal once again and is pretty much irreplaceable as Spurs’ first choice goalkeeper.
RWB – Serge Aurier
Serge Aurier had just a day to train before the Everton game but he could very well be handed a start here instead of Kieran Trippier.
CB – Toby Alderweireld
How would Pochettino leave his team’s best defender out for such an important game? Toby Alderweireld is simply irremovable from this Tottenham team and he should be handed a start.
CB – Davinson Sanchez
Tottenham’s expensive summer signing from Ajax might make his Champions League debut, against Dortmund, having already impressed in his Premier League outings so far.
CB – Jan Vertonghen
Although Vertonghen did not have a good outing with the national side, he was impressive at the back for Spurs against Everton. The Belgian should keep his place in the XI.
LWB – Ben Davies
Ben Davies has done extremely well in the left-back/left wing-back role since replacing the injured Danny Rose. He could very well remain as Pochettino’s first choice left-back for the entire season even if Rose recovers from his injury.
CM – Eric Dier
The English midfielder is central to Spurs’ midfield and managed the game well against Everton. Dier will have to be at his best to control the game against the German opposition.
CM – Mousa Dembele
With Wanyama still out, Mousa Dembele could be in for a start in what is a big game for Tottenham.
RAM – Christian Eriksen
Perhaps the best creative midfielder in all of Europe, the Dane has been fantastic for Spurs so far. With a goal against Everton, Eriksen’s confidence will only be at its best.
LAM – Son Heung-min
With Alli suspended, the dynamic Son Heung-min should start the game. He’d certainly be itching to put in a good shift.
ST – Harry Kane
Having scored two goals against Everton, Kane officially opened his Premier League tally for the season. He will expect to produce the same kind of form on Tuesday, when he lines up against Dortmund at the Wembley.
