It seems now that the Karim Benzema transfer saga has taken a new twist, as bookmakers around the country have slashed the odds on the French striker moving to Premier League giants Arsenal from Real Madrid.
At present, William Hill are offering odds on the 27-year-old attacker becoming a Gunner till the current transfer window closes, with Bet Victor offering odds of 5/6. The falling of odds is a clear hint that things have changed dramatically in recent days and that the French international could now remain at the Bernabeu.
A number of journalists have added that the transfer saga should end soon, with the transfer window also closing by the end of the month. It was being claimed by Emanuele Giulianelli, a journalist who writes for publications like FIFA Weekly, Panenka and FourFourTwo that he was informed that the deal was nearing completion.
A fan yesterday retweeted a young fan who said that the Frenchman laughed and joked about a move to the Emirates, which would once again cause more, though what happens next remains to be seen.
