The way Arsenal have moved in the transfer market, not many will blame you if you have been taken by surprise. The Gunners already secured Granit Xhaka and has triggered the release clause of Jamie Vardy soon afterwards.
The talk with Leicester City over the Vardy deal has stalled but reports from several sources reveal that the Gunners could still go ahead and complete the deal. Arsene Wenger admitted in a recent interview that the chase for the player is over but now Sky Sports have reported that the deal could be completed after Euro 2016.
Oliver Giroud has failed to deliver on the promised goods for Arsenal for several years and while Vardy is completely focused on the European competition right now, the 29 year old could still make it to the Emirates by the end of the transfer window. Maybe Arsene Wenger will have to cough up more than just the release clause to convince the Foxes.
