Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has excited the fans, by stating that the club could try to make a late bid for yet another superstar in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners have just added Petr Cech to the squad this summer from their London rivals Chelsea for a price of around £10m. Despite that the fans have been hoping that the French manager will look to add yet another world class striker as Olivier Giroud has not been at his best so far this season.
The north London side were heavily linked with Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema for quite some but the France international dismissed all speculations regarding a move away from the Bernabeu.
Wenger spoke in his pre-match conference ahead of the team game against Newcastle on Saturday afternoon, which Arsenal won by a deflected goal and stated, “I am always confident that a last-minute situation or solution is available.” Well, this could mean that the club might push for a deal soon before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.
