According to the Express, Arsenal along with Liverpool might have been blessed with a positive news as Olympiakos coach Jose Miguel Michel has admitted that holding onto forward Konstantinos Mitroglou might be a difficult job for them when the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool are after his signature.

While Liverpool have Sturridge and Suarez in attack, Arsenal are left only with Giroud who looks a bit tired these days after starting almost all of Arsenal’s games this season. While there are a lot of top quality replacement for a the French International, Mitroglou has certainly got what it takes to play in the London outfit. The forward has been in deadly form this season with 16 goals from 15 appearances for the Greek club which includes a hat-trick in the Champions League against Anderlecht.

Whilst that is not all of it, the 25-year-old been influential with his national team as he helped Greece in the World Cup qualifiers.

Olympiakos manager according to the same report from Express has admitted that the forward has been attracting interest from all across Europe and said that it would be hard to keep him at the club.

“We’ve known for some time that there has been interest from many clubs. But that’s only logical considering how well he has been doing lately. There have been no concrete proposals so far, but if he keeps on doing well, it’s going to be hard to keep him,” he said.

Mitroglou’s name has been linked with the Premier League club’s in the past, but the striker’s current form means that there will be some progress in the January transfer window as both Rodgers and Wenger are in need of a striker. The one who moves in faster can possibly land the striker come this January or at the end of the season.
